CRRID, an approved Research Centre of Panjab University, Chandigarh invites applications from eligible candidates as per the Panjab University rules and criteria, in the prescribed format, available at: www.crrid.res.in, for admission in Ph.D. programme in Economics and Sociology. Completed applications, addressed to the Director (Acting), CRRID, along with self attested copies of the certificates, must reach by post/hand to his office by September 13, 2019 (5.00 pm). Candidates should appear in person for interview cum interaction and presentation, and bring original certificates for verification: Economics on September 24, 2019, and Sociology on September 26, 2019, at 11.00 a.m. in the Faculty Hall, CRRID. Terms and Conditions for Admission in Ph.D. Programme in Economics/Sociology at CRRID, Chandigarh

1. The candidates desirous of seeking admission in Ph.D. Programme in Economics/Sociology of Panjab University at CRRID, Chandigarh should submit the application addressed to Director, CRRID in the prescribed format that should reach the Director's office by post/by hand by September 13, 2019 at the address: The Director, Centre for Research in Rural and Industrial Development (CRRID), Plot 2 A, Sector 19-A, Madhya Marg, Chandigarh 160 019 by 5.00 pm.
2. Eligibility for admission shall be as per the extant rules of the Panjab University, Chandigarh.
3. Photocopies of the following certificates (DMC and Degree) should accompany the application form:
   1. Matriculation or equivalent;
   2. +2 or equivalent;
   3. Graduation or equivalent;
   4. Post-Graduation in Economics/Sociology or equivalent;
   5. Ph.D. entrance test examination of Panjab University, if passed;
   6. M. Phil (Economics/Sociology/equivalent) of Panjab University, if passed;
   7. UGC/NET or equivalent, if passed;
   8. Exemption Rule under Panjab University Ph.D. Regulations, if claimed;
   9. Reserved Category, if claimed; and
   10. Character certificate from the institution last attended.
   Note: All the candidates shall also produce the above certificates in original at the time of interview cum interaction and presentation for verification.
4. All the candidates are required to appear in person for interview cum interaction and presentation at the Faculty Hall, Centre for Research in Rural and Industrial Development (CRRID), Sector 19-A, Madhya Marg, Chandigarh, on the following dates, failing which their candidature for admission in the programme shall stand automatically cancelled.

Sociology: September 26, 2019 at 11.00 a.m.
