Call For Papers

The quarterly journal "Man & Development", published by CRRID has planned to come out with a special issue dedicated to the problems and prospects of Panchayati Raj Institutions in the country with the objective to review the progress made so far on various aspects including the financial and administrative devolution of powers and its implementations at the ground level, as well as the problems and constraints faced by the Panchayats. The emphasis should be on the policy aspects that should be designed and implemented in the spirit of 73rd constitutional Amendment.

For this special issue, papers are invited from the scholars engaged in the study and implementation of the policies under the constitutional Amendments.

  • The paper for consideration of publication should be sent to Dr. Vikash Kumar, Editorial Research and Publication Officer, Centre for Research in Rural and Industrial Development, Sector 19-A, Madhya Marg, Chandigarh-160019. Email: crridpub1@gmail.com
  • The paper should be succinctly put as 'a critical analysis of the processes underlying the political, socio-economic and cultural transformation of societies'. An enunciation of policy implications is also desired.
  • The text of the paper ordinarily be in 8,000 to 10,000 words. English spellings according to Oxford Dictionary should be used while writing the paper.
  • All tables and figures should bear consistency in their presentation. Source of data must be mentioned in the case of tables.
  • The author/s are required to provide a declaration that 'the paper is original, and will not be submitted elsewhere till the decision from the 'Man & Development' is received.
  • Two hard copies of the paper, along with a soft copy (email or CD) on MS format is to be made available
