About Journal
CRRID has been publishing Man & Development (ISSN 0258-0438), its official quarterly multidisciplinary social science journal, since May 1979 when the first issue was released by the then President of Republic of India His Excellency Mr. N. Sanjeeva Reddy. The journal has set itself the ambitious task of critically examining and analysing the entire complex processes of our political, social, economic and cultural transformation. Since India represents an ancient society and civilization, it is equally interested in analysing the validity or otherwise of past heritage in relation to present concerns. Finally, it sees the processes of change and transformation of India in the wider context of a changing world. These being the concerns, the journal invite articles bearing on one or the other aspect of the transformation processes, both at the micro and macro level. Man & Development is published in March, June, September and December. Around 400 copies of the journal find their way to libraries and organizations at home and abroad, out of which 15 copies are exchanged with similar journals of repute. Man & Development receives articles from a wider section of scholars, thinkers, entrepreneurs, administrators, and policy planners, and decision makers. The journal is abstracted and indexed by Indian Citation Index, New Delhi, Guide to Indian Periodical Literature, Gurgaon and Institute for Studies in Industrial Development (ISID) Index Series, New Delhi, ICSSR journal of Abstracts and Reviews in sociology and social Anthropology, New Delhi.
