CRRID, an approved Research Centre of Panjab University, Chandigarh invites applications from eligible candidates as per the Panjab University criteria, in the prescribed format available at: www.crrid.res.in for admission to Ph.D. programme in Economics. The applications, addressed to the Director General, CRRID, along with copies of the certificates, must reach by post/by hand to his office by 8th September, 2017 by 5.00 pm. The candidates shall appear in person for interview and presentation along with original certificates on 19th September, 2017 at 11.00 a.m. in the Faculty Hall, CRRID. Details for Admission in Ph.D. Programme in Economics at CRRID, Chandigarh

1. The candidates desirous of seeking admission in Ph.D. Programme in Economics of Panjab University at CRRID, Chandigarh should submit the application addressed to DG, CRRID in the prescribed format that should reach the DG office by post/by hand by 8th September, 2017 at the address by 5.00 pm.
2. Photocopies of the following certificates (DMC and Degree) should accompany the application form.
   1. Matriculation or equivalent;
   2. +2 or equivalent;
   3. Graduation or equivalent;
   4. Post Graduation in Economics or equivalent;
   5. Ph.D. entrance test examination of Panjab University, if passed;
   6. M. Phil (Economics) of Panjab University, if passed;
   7. UGC/Net or equivalent, if passed;
   8. Exemption Rule under Panjab University Ph.D. Regulations, if claimed;
   9. Reserved Category, if claimed; and
   10. Character certificate from the institution, last attended.
   Note: All the candidates shall also produce these certificates in original at the time of interview/interaction for verification.
3. All the candidates are required to appear in person for interview and presentation at the Faculty Hall, Centre for Research in Rural and Industrial Development (CRRID), Sector 19-A, Madhya Marg, Chandigarh, on 19th September, 2017 at 11.00 a.m., failing which their candidature for admission in the programme shall stand automatically canceled.
4. It is desirable that the candidate should obtain prior consent of a faculty member in CRRID to act as his/her Ph.D. supervisor. Specialization of the faculty members for supervision is available in the CRRID website.
