The Centre for Research in Rural and Industrial Development (CRRID), Sector 19-A, Chandigarh,an approved Research Centre of Panjab University, Chandigarh, invites applications from eligible candidates as per the Panjab University criteria, in the prescribed format (link below) for admission to Ph.D. programme in Sociology for academic session 2018-19.

Application, addressed to the Director, CRRID,Plot no 2-A, Madhya Marg, Sector 19-A, Chandigarhalong with copies of the certificates, must reach by post or in person within 21 days of publication of this advertisement.

The candidates shall appear in person for interview and presentation on 4th December, 2018 at 10.30 a.m. in the Faculty Hall, CRRID. The candidates must bring original certificates at the time of interview on the said date.

Details for Admission in Ph.D. Programme in Sociology at CRRID, Chandigarh

1. The candidates desirous of seeking admission in Ph.D. Programme in Sociology of Panjab University at CRRID, Chandigarh must submit the application addressed to Director, CRRID, Plot no 2-A, Madhya Marg, Sector -19-A, Chandigarh, in the prescribed format within 21 days of publication of this advertisement.
2. Photocopies of the following certificates (DMC and Degree) mustbe attached with the application form:
   1. Matriculation or equivalent;
   2. 10+2 or equivalent;
   3. Graduation or equivalent;
   4. Post Graduation in Sociology or equivalent;
   5. Ph.D. entrance test examination of Panjab University, if passed;
   6. M. Phil (Economics) of Panjab University, if passed;
   7. UGC/Net/JRF or equivalent, if passed;
   8. Exemption Rule under Panjab University Ph.D. Regulations, if claimed;
   9. Reserved Category, if claimed; and
   10. Character certificate from the institution last attended.
   Note: All the candidates shall also produce these certificates in original at the time of interview/interaction for verification
3. All the candidates are required to appear in person for interview and presentation at Faculty Hall, CRRID on 4th December, 2018 at 10.30 a.m., failing which their candidature for admission in the programme shall stand automatically cancelled.
